ode to a sunset wrapped in a desert sarong

thank you for all the laughter and a million memories strong
nothing recedes without leaving behind…
an echo, a silhouette, an imagined warmth
with you, I’ve discovered time and tide come back for second chances
may they find me just a little wiser and a little happier
and a traveller for many a miles long
and should you call, I will play along
this time, for the love and the echoes of the song.

  1. …And I love the song…sung by you…like always! 🙂 Happy New Year…and I realised just now that I realised that I don’t know your name… Would like to enjoy lemon tea with you sometime.

You always present a rich tapestry of life in your words, Sheena. I wish you many happy travels. 💗💗💗

Envy you for the travelling. Best wishes and let you travel more so that through your words we can feel tiny bits of nostalgia.

My caravan, stationed off-screen, is also enjoying the warmth of the auburn sun, and being in the same sunschorched (and as opium induces somnolence, the heat of the desert induces me to make up sun-themed words) predicament, I wish you a cornflower blue oasis in the coming year, as it is verily what I wish for myself and the rest of humanity–and yes, the sun can make one delusional.
